FAQ’s

Which Chiropractic techniques do you use?
I use Gonstead, Activator, SOT, Toggle or Diversified to adjust, and I use Applied Kinesiology to diagnose. Remember, techniques are just tools to get the job done, and I am very empathetic to those who like gentle adjustments like I do.
My Primary care and Physical therapist have adjusted me before. Why should I be a Chiropractic patient?
Chiropractic actually has nothing to do with the bone that shifts, but rather it is our culture that is attractive. We care about optimizing physiology more than speaking from pathology. Clinically, I believe we are the experts when it comes to ANALYZING the spine, and have the most training in making changes in it. In my practice, you will also receive expert nutritional and functional medicine analysis, which are services I wish more doctors offered.
Seems like the word ``functional`` is a hot word these days. What is ``Functional`` Medicine?
It could come off as a trend, but Functional Medicine is here to stay. We use cutting-edge tests that may be the gold standard 20-30 years down the line, or not, sadly. We get to the root-cause of the problem and take into account the following when perceiving a disorder: emotional health, unfavorable biochemistry, and lifestyle habits.
Is Chiropractic safe?
Super safe. The Cassidy study showed that going to an MD has also been associated with stroke. People seek Chiropractic for piercing headaches, which is a sign of stroke. It is the Doctors job to know the signs of an ischemic event, which  does not imply that adjusting the cervical spine has a causal relationship with a stroke. The Terret article explained that extending and rotating the cervical spine increases the risk of stroke, which is more of a reason to see experts of spinal adjusting (Doctors of Chiropractic). We know how to adjust accurately and precisely! A physical and labratory exam will elicit uncommon diseases like Fibromuscular dysplasia, Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome Type 4, Type 1 Collagen gene mutation, and cystic medial necrosis, which call for low-force Chiropractic techniques instead.
Will I be dependent on Chiropractic once I start?
You wouldn’t! I will say that as you gain more clarity in your life as your neurology reorganizes, you may want more… keep in mind that your fascia and body will shrink as you age, and Chiropractic undoes some of that. We also have proof that a health spine can increase telomere length: a globally accepted marker for biological age.
